If we consider ethical actions that are beyond the task of efficient marketing and mission achievements of a corporation, then Microsoft is sure to lead all its rivals in Cyber Space.
Among the tech companies ranked by Ethisphere’s as most ethical companies of the world, Microsoft, eBay, Adobe, Salesforce and T-Mobile were the significant ones. All of these companies have been awarded for their mission of “real and sustained ethical leadership” across several industries.
Google, which believes in its motto of “don’t be evil” and its noticeable social activities that offer the friendly public image, wasn’t seen in the list of Ethisphere’s. However, Google was present in the list during the past three consecutive years from 2008 till 2009. The reason why the name of Google has been dropped from the list is still unstated by Ethisphere.
Several questions are being raised as to why Google was dropped from the ethical company list. People are predicting many incidents in the recent past such as ad network acquisition, patent lawsuit, lawsuits over copyright violation of Google books etc.
There can be various debates as to why Google’s name has been snatched away from the ethical list. Media channels can sell such debates like hot cakes but such an incident is an ordinary issue in the corporate world of America. A corporate giant like Google will not pay much attention it. And there are several instances when companies like Mocrosoft or Adobe have faced troubles of similar kind.
But even after considering this recent event as a run of the mill, we cannot ignore the fact that the status given to Microsoft is reasonably high and it will make difference in its product standards.
